Off-road troopers
"So what makes your Dehradun so special?" I often come across this question directly or indirectly whenever I try to share my stories with people who are not from doon and majority of my friends from there also agree to this. Well it's hard to explain through words about the essence of it because how can I make you understand what it feels to go to college through the dense forest in Bidholi everyday, witnessing beautiful sunsets every other day, sleeping in the terrace and gazing at shooting stars amid the glittering stars filled in the sky, watching Mussoorie all lit up like a necklace stretched across the mountain, time attacks in Dunga, sunrises from Misraspatti after offroad runs in between the adventurous forest, randomly going out to try new trails and end up finding new ones along with fixing the bikes, etc . So, my aim for this project is to show you a glimpse of it through my photographs.

Capturing the Winterline
Introducing you the rare & phenomenal Winterline which occurs from October till January and can be only witnessed from few places in the entire globe (some himalayan region but very prominent from Mussoorie, Mizoram and Nahan in India, and other than that it is visible only in Swiss Alps). Enjoy this set of pictures from Bhadraj Temple, Mussoorie. If you wish to go there, expect a lot of off-road, steep roads, no roads, dark roads and wildlife (better don't pray for that).

What makes Bidholi stand out for me is the landscape of it and how the people there live along and around it. Be it a student or a localite, that small village offers you a lot and the thing that I took most from it was the beauty of nature encasing it. Here are some photographs of Aoisora after a happy full tank and trail run with @_anand_sreekumar_ and @shamil.cf.

You get a bike, ride it, do things that you are not supposed to do with it, fail, learn from it, break it in the process, fix it again, and again, and you get better day by day. For the fixing part of it, we used our skills a bit but majorly relied on local mechanics (special thanks to Alam & Rinku bhaiya). And now with @motospirit, Chiti has kickstarted his operations in Dehradun.

Breath in, Breathe out
Everyone has those secret spots where they celebrate small victories in this life, let go of the tears that we have kept deep inside for a while or sometimes just embracing simple moments like watching the blades of leaves fighting against the gush of leaves, craving for the fragrance of soil when touched by the tears from above, counting shooting stars under the sparkling stars, catching sunsets and sunrises along with witnessing the changes simultaneously in the valley below, etc. For me, one of those spots is this small village tucked on the top of a mountain called Misraspatti. Here, you will understand what serenity is.
